Abbiamo discusso dei fondi europei che arrivano in Italia, di dove vanno, di come sono spesi.

We talked about European funding that arrives in Italy, where it goes to and how it is spent.

Io ho chiesto trasparenza sulla loro destinazione o il blocco dei fondi all'Italia.

I asked for transparency about the destination of the funding or a block on funding to Italy.

I fondi sono una partita di giro, noi li diamo all'Europa con le nostre tasse e l'Europa ne restituisce una parte.

The funding is a transaction on behalf of others. We give it to Europe with our taxes and Europe gives back a part.

Instead of giving and receiving this money, I beseech you, don’t give us any more and we won’t give any more to you. We will use the money ourselves trying to do that in a more dignified manner.
