Sotto il letto abbiamo trovato del fil di ferro girato a otto, quattro volte, poi l'autopsia ha accertato che gli era stato stretto del fil di ferro anche alle caviglie, ai polsi, i segni rimasti sul corpo sono tipici del fil di ferro e non delle manette, e poi non contando le botte sulla schiena:

Certo è che già nel '99 vennero qua a bastonare Ricky in casa nostra, verso settembre, un vicino di casa infastidito chiamò la Polizia perché Ricky ascoltava la radio in macchina, venne lui stesso armato di bastone con la moglie e il cane a minacciarlo, poco dopo arrivò la Polizia qui in casa a bastonarlo.

Il centro di salute mentale dimostrò che Ricky era una persona che soffriva, malato invalido all'80 per cento per via del servizio militare, durante il quale alcuni commilitoni gli avevano distrutto la sua psiche facendogli dispetti di ogni sorta gli avevano distrutto la sua personalità e Riccardo agli atti aveva scritto che non aveva reagito quando gli facevano del male per rispetto verso le madri di quelli che gli facevano del male, per non farle soffrire.

Io e mio padre ci recavamo sempre al centro di salute mentale ma
per questo motivo davamo fastidio ai dottori perché volevamo che Ricky
migliorasse, l'avevamo portato a Preganziol a Pisa, poi per fortuna Ricky
sembrava stesse un po' meglio, tanto che aveva anche iniziato a fare qualche
lavoretto però qua me l'avevano ricattato, gli avevano detto che se si fosse
curato fuori Trieste loro non gli avrebbero più somministrato la cura.

I and my father we were always going to the mental health centre but for this reason we annoyed the doctors because we wanted Ricky to make progress, and we had taken him to Preganziol in Pisa then luckily Ricky seemed to be a bit better, so much so that he had started to do some small jobs however I believe they had him in a bind, they told him that if he had treatment outside Trieste they would not have given him treatment.

In quella settimana sul quotidiano "Il Piccolo" uscì un articolo in cui c'era scritto che loro avevano fatto il loro dovere per cui usciranno da questa situazione a testa alta perché non è solo il fatto di fare il processo, ora bisogna fare anche altre indagini, perché le cose non sono ancora chiare, grazie al nostro avvocato Giovanni Di Lullo che il 28 febbraio scorso ha presentato una documentazione non indifferente e così i giudici non hanno potuto archiviare il caso.
