E’ altresì apprezzabile il senso di responsabilità e la correttezza istituzionale che hanno portato il ministro della Giustizia ad annunciare in Parlamento le sue dimissioni, gesto che, siamo certi, contribuirà a rasserenare il clima ed a sgomberare il campo da basse strumentalizzazioni.

It is equally to be appreciated the sense of responsibility and the institutional correctness that led the Minister of Justice to announce to Parliament his resignation. It is a gesture that we are sure will contribute to keeping the atmosphere calm and it will keep the field clear of base instrumentalisation.

Ciò non di meno, come Italia dei Valori, non possiamo non prendere le distanze dalla parole pronunciate dal Guardasigilli, nei passaggi in cui parla di giustizia ad orologeria, di giudici che cercano di abbattere i loro nemici politici, o di magistrati che fanno ostaggi.

Having said that, we of Italia dei Valori cannot but keep our distance from the words pronounced by the Minister, when he talked about clockwork justice, about judges who try to bring down their political foes, or of magistrates who take hostages.

Queste parole non le abbiamo tollerate quando erano altri ad invocare queste argomentazioni, non possiamo ora, per la nostra coerenza, accettarle da chi è ministro della Giustizia in carica, anche perché, quando si pensano queste cose della Magistratura italiana, diventa veramente difficile svolgere con equilibrio un ruolo delicato come quello del Guardasigilli.

We have not tolerated these words when others have used this type of discourse and we cannot accept them now, if we are to be coherent, from the one who is currently the Minister of Justice, even because, when you think this of the Italian Magistracy, it becomes difficult for you to carry out with the necessary balance, a role that is as sensitive as that of Minister of Justice.

Ribadisco, infine, anche in questa occasione, il concetto per cui quando si ha a che fare con la giustizia ci si difende nelle aule dei tribunale e non al di fuori di esse.

Finally, I repeat, even on this occasion, the concept according to which when you have an issue with the system of justice, you have to defend yourself inside the tribunal and not outside.
