La mia storia attraverso le sentenze
My life story as told by the sentences
2 |
In recent years, many people have amused themselves and many others have had an interest in criminalizing me following the investigation carried out in relation to myself in 1995 by the magistrates of Brescia (especially by Dr. Salamone of whom I spoke in Chapter 1) and regarding my relationship with Dr.Gorrini, that occurred more than 20 years before.

Secondo l’accusa, io avrei preteso da Gorrini:
According to the accusation I had asked Gorrini for the following:
4 |
- un prestito di 100 milioni, senza interessi;
- a loan of 100 million, without interest (that according to some people I gave back in a shoe box);
5 |
- la cessione gratuita di una autovettura Mercedes;
- the free use of a Mercedes car;
6 |
- l’affidamento a mia moglie (che fa l’avvocato) di cause della Maa Assicurazione riguardante sinistri stradali;
- the assigning to my wife (who is a lawyer) of traffic accident insurance cases with Maa Assicurazione;
7 |
- the canceling of debts incurred through horse racing by Eleuterio Rea, a person who it was suggested I had even favoured at the time that he became Head of the Vigili di Milano {Milan Urban Police Force}

In tutti questi anni, le suddette accuse mi sono state rinfacciate in ogni occasione, come se avessi davvero commesso i reati in questione.
In all these years, these accusations have been brought up against me on every occasion, as though they were true.
9 |
Anzi tutti oramai le danno per acquisite.
In fact, by now, everyone takes them for established facts.

OK, I am publishing the first level verdict n. 189 of 29.03.96 of the GIP of Brescia (I’m linking to the whole document that is divided into pages: table of contents -
1-20 - 21-41 - 42-62 - 63-83 - 84-104 -
105-134 ), in which - after a meticulous reconstruction of all the happenings in a good 132 tightly worded pages giving the reasoning - the judge concluded like this:
11 |
(I declare there is no case to answer against Di Pietro Antonio in relation to
the crimes he is accused of because there is no substance to the facts.) |
12 |
That means, the accusations listed above and with which the
journalists hired for the occasion and politicians have filled up their mouths
in all these years to denigrate me - simply "do not exist".
13 |
It’s like saying that - if I had been accused of murder - the dead person would in reality still be alive.
14 |
That’s not enough. Even the Brescia Court of Appeal, assigned the task by the Prosecutors’ Office, confirmed with no reservation the verdict of the Investigating Magistrate.
15 |
1-20 - 21-31 - 32-42 - 43-53 - 54-64 - 65-75 -
76-86 - 87-97 - 98-107 , anch’essa preceduta da una motivazione di oltre 100 pagine.

I am publishing the verdict of the Brescia Appeal Court n.829/97 dated 9 July 1997 (I’m linking to the whole document that is divided into pages: table of contents -

For a more comfortable read, I invite you to follow the appropriate table of contents for both the sentence at level one and the one on Appeal in the related documents.

At this point, you will be asking: But then why did Gorrini unjustly accuse Di Pietro?
18 |
The judge also asked that question and in relation to that he wrote Chapter 9, that has the significant heading: "reticence, interests, connections of Gorrini".

There are a good 29 pages of "raw truth" (from page 71 to page 99 in the level one verdict ), that up until now have basically not been published, and that on its own should be enough to let anyone understand (for those who have the wish and who are free of any type of preconceptions) what was constructed at that time - and who did it and why - to put a stop to "Mani Pulite" {the Clean Hands investigation}.

But for today, let’s stop here. The story is too long to tell in a single go.
