Alitalia: le non risposte di Sacconi

Alitalia: Sacconi’s non-responses
2 |
I’m publishing the video and the transcript of my parliamentary question to the Minister of Labour, Health and Social Policy to clear up a few things on the exploitation carried out in recent months in relation to Alitalia. Electoral exploitation to the detriment of the citizens.

Antonio Di Pietro: Signor Presidente, signor Ministro, il Governo Berlusconi afferma di voler salvare l'Alitalia dalla bancarotta;
Antonio Di Pietro: Signor President, signor Minister, the Berlusconi government states that it wants to save Alitalia from bankruptcy;
4 |
believe me, we of Italia dei Valori want that too, and we certainly don’t want to cause them bad luck but neither do we want the workers to be blackmailed and obliged to accept downtreading solutions.
5 |
Siccome noi una soluzione per Alitalia l'avevamo trovata, ed era una soluzione che limitava il numero dei cassaintegrati, accollava i debiti all'acquirente e, soprattutto, manteneva in vita la compagnia di bandiera, chiediamo quanti dipendenti, diretti e indiretti, vadano messi in mobilità con la vostra proposta;
Given that we had found a solution for Alitalia, and that was a solution that limited the number of people laid off, that attached the debts to the buyer and that above all, maintained the flag carrier alive, we are asking how many direct and indirect employees will be laid off with your proposals;
6 |
how many airport workers, above all those at Malpensa and Fiumicino, will in their turn, suffer the negative consequences of the resizing.
7 |
Furthermore, we ask whether it is true that the State will in the end have to take on the debts of the company - the same debts that the new company that is being put together is not taking on - and finally whether or not it is true that the Alitalia employees will get reduced salaries.
8 |
I am saying this because they are the actual words of the President of the Council, considering that the Alitalia employees are saying that they will suffer the consequences whereas the President of the Council says that it’s not true. Can you be the arbiter?

Maurizio Sacconi: Signor Presidente, onorevole Di Pietro, ricordo in primo luogo come la proposta di cui stiamo discutendo sia stata avanzata da una cordata non di imprenditori amici;
Maurizio Sacconi: Signor President, honourable Di Pietro, first of all I would like to say that the proposal that we are talking about has been put forward by a consortium not of friend entrepreneurs;
10 |
I challenge you to think, in particular, that the most exposed entrepreneur and the one who is leading it can be considered to be a particular friend of this governing coalition.
11 |
In truth, he is a pure entrepreneur who, together with the other pure entrepreneurs, quoted companies, private equity funds based in Italy and entrepreneurs of international importance, has presented a realistic and courageous offer, given also the conditions of the international situation, that in recent days, above all, has got worse.
12 |
They are supported by a bank that is not in debt to Air One, as you have stated at some time, but that is in debt to Alitalia against ample guarantees on the aircraft.
13 |
It is thus, a genuine proposal, that takes advantage of the conditions that we have drawn up in accordance with the Community regulations and that are so correct that probably, added to the news that I give you, will not easily give way to any other solution.

The government commissioner - I am referring to professor Fantozzi - has in fact told us that yesterday he heard from the big companies that could reasonably, in theory present a proposal especially at the time that the consortium led by Dr Colaninno should happen to pull out, and anyway the British Airways administrator, like that of Lufthansa and that of Air France has communicated that they are not interested in presenting proposals, but only in having minority participation.

As regards the excess staff discussed in the plan presented by the CAI company and agreed with the organisations CGIL, CISL, UIL and UGL, at the moment it seems reasonable to say about three thousand people are those destined to be affected by the measures to keep their income and to be reallocated.
16 |
The terms, however, relating to the economic treatment, is an issue for the parties to the discussion and the hypotheses have not related to a reduction of effective salary unless for the outline of an increase in hours worked.
17 |
It has been requested, for an equal salary, greater productivity of work in terms of a greater number of hours worked.
18 |
We hope to be able to save this piece of national identity.
19 |
Antonio Di Pietro: Signor President, I note that for 2 out of 4 questions, the Minister has not responded and to the other 2 he has responded with reticence. Because for us, it’s not a question of 3 thousand in excess, but many more.
20 |
Above all we believe that it is incongruous to say that the salary has not been reduced, but that simply the work has increased, as though the employees were butchered meat or inanimate machines.
21 |
In relation to the entrepreneurs we note that by definition they can be called "pure".
22 |
We say that by definition the entrepreneurs are entrepreneurs but this does not indeed mean that they are pure, in fact, in the case of the current financial grouping they have taken on the task, not of taking over Alitalia, but just to take the flesh of its profits, leaving the bones of the debts and the desperation of the small shareholders to a "bad company" with the functions of a rubbish tip.
23 |
We of Italia dei Valori say no to the financial speculation of Colaninno who is an entrepreneur and not our friend, because we have no friends on any side.
24 |
We say no to the Ligresti «bricks a go-go», no to the Benetton conflict of interests who at the same time is a partner in the new company but also in the company that manages the Rome airport.
25 |
And above all we say no to the short-cut of settling the debts of Air One in relation to Banca Intesa.
26 |
I repeat, we are asking the government to listen to the appeal that is not ours, nor that of some red toga, but we are asking the government to listen to the appeal from professor Piero Schlesinger of the università Cattolica di Milano and of another 20 or so university professors, who have said that starting off with the sacking of staff, and anyway, carrying out the operation that they are doing without having put up to tender the CAI offer is an unjust operation that violates the rules of competition and the rules of the market.
