I’m keen to emphasise that the demonstration is open to anyone who wants to demonstrate in defence of the basic rights of democracy.

Basic for the citizens, not for the government who in these first few months of their sitting have brought the whole apparatus of justice to its knees, while pacifying the general public with inapplicable and contradictory manoeuvres about fictitious security emergencies.

If you look at the facts of this government, the scenario is a disaster.

In a country in which the true and only emergencies are the economic recession, unemployment, the impoverishment of families, the flight of capital, corruption and the degradation of the public administration, the government is making itself busy in preventing wiretaps, suspending 100 thousand trials, ensuring immunity for Silvio Berlusconi, lying about the save-Alitalia consortium at the expense of the citizens, ignoring the verdicts of the European Court of Justice in assigning the radio-TV frequencies.

Non basta.

That’s not all.

Now with the quashing of the special regime 41 bis for 37 mafia bosses, the effect of a gift-regulation that in 2002 was done by the third Berlusconi government, the majority is getting ready to maintain the election promises made to organised crime.

The words pronounced round about the time of the elections: "Mangano was a hero" were nothing more than a message to reassure the world of organised crime about the fact that they would have an easy life by voting Berlusconi, thus guaranteeing the packet of votes that they control.
12 |
But I’m wondering, signor Berlusconi, when will be the moment to respect the promises made to those who voted for you, and in particular the voters of the Lega?

Because all that you have done, up until now was not written in your election programme manifesto.
