Venerdì 21 dicembre, penultimo Consiglio dei Ministri, perché il 28 dicembre avremo l’ultimo per approvare quello che viene chiamato "decreto mille proroghe".

Friday 21 December, the second last Cabinet meeting of the year, because the last one is scheduled for 28 December to approve the so-called the "thousand postponements decree".

A fine anno si fa una cernita di tutti quegli adempimenti che non si sono riusciti a concludere entro l’anno, a cui si fa una proroga, con un decreto legge finale, per cercare di fare l’anno prossimo quel che non si è riusciti a fare questo anno.

At the end of each year, a survey is done to identify all of the provisions that have not been finalised during the year, so that, by passing a final legislative decree, the finalisation can be further postponed, thus permitting us to do next year, that which we were unable to do this year.

Nel CIPE abbiamo deciso due cose fondamentali.

In the CIPE, we decided on two basic issues.

Una serie di opere pubbliche da realizzare con tutti i soldi a disposizione che ancora avevamo.

A range of public works to be performed using all the remaining available funds.

E’ importante far sapere che per la prima volta al Ministero delle Infrastrutture non è avanzata una lira, e ciò vuol dire che ha speso tutto per le opere previste.

It is important to let everyone know that, for the first time ever, the Ministry for Infrastructure will not have a single cent left over, meaning that it has spent all of its funds for the envisaged works.

Non ci sono i residui passivi e non sono rimasti lavori a metà, vale a dire che noi nel decreto mille proroghe non avremo da prorogare lavori che dovevamo fare in questo anno, perché i lavori per cui ci erano stati dati i soldi li abbiamo avviati tutti quanti.

There are no residual unused funds lying around, nor are there any stalled, half-completed works, in other words, we of the "thousand postponements decree" will not have to postpone the works that should have been carried out this year, because the works for which the money was allocated have all been commenced.

E’ una cosa molto soddisfacente, mentre gli ultimi 200 milioni circa li abbiamo assegnati, attraverso il CIPE, per una serie di interventi importanti, soprattutto per il completamento di quei interventi in corso in cui c’era bisogno di ulteriori risorse.

It is very satisfying to know that the last 200 million, more or less, have been allocated through the CIPE, to a whole range of important interventions, above all to complete those interventions that were already underway but required additional resources.
