The T-shirt fad is now
definitely a part of the fashion world, and not only for young
adults, but for people of all ages!
We see a lot written on
T-shirts but unfortunately not all that is written in English,
is correct!
Activity:
Using a cardboard form of a
T-shirt, the students can trace one on a piece of white paper or
poster board.
They will have a choice as to how to "decorate" it.
Here are some suggestions:
1. Using informal expressions:
What's up? No Way!! See you later!
2. Writing a favourite proverb:
Still waters run deep.
3. Copying a famous
quotation:
If you play at being a genius , you'll become one. Salvador
Dalì
4. Choosing adjectives to describe
themselves:
Active….friendly…..generous….stupendous
5. Writing a "Want ad":
Wanted…….enough money to go on vacation.
Wanted…….someone who understands me
These are some ideas, but
I'm sure the students will have more of their own!
These T-shirts can be
displayed for all to see (and admire!) It's a nice class
project and at the same time, it cheers up the classroom!
A Nice Thought
"I've always thought of the T-shirt as the Alpha and Omega of
the fashion alphabet."
