In the famous American film,
THE KING AND I, there was a very lovely song entitled, "Getting
to Know you."
As teachers we should try to get to know our
students. Perhaps it can help us to learn about their interests
so we can better understand their personalities.
Here is a sample ID the students can fill out.

This ID, once filled out, can be used for a
conversation. The students can form the appropriate questions to
obtain information.
Ex. When were you born?
Where were you born?
How many people are in your
family?
What are your hobbies? Etc.
Here are some possible answers to the question,
Who Am I?
I'm……………(name)
I'm a son\daughter I'm a student
I'm a cousin I'm Italian
I'm a sports fan I'm an avid reader
I'm a tennis player I'm a good
cook.
I'm a vegetable lover. I'm a computer bug.
I'm a jogger. I'm a good dancer.
Let the students try adding more to this list.
The students can write up the answers that "talk" about
themselves. Tell them to draw a little caricature of themselves
to complete this page. I'd advise posting them on the class
bulletin board for all to enjoy!
A Nice Thought
