Dopo il blog di supporto a tutti gli insegnanti di inglese che lavorano con ragazzi della scuola media, la nostra Elaine si rivolge ora in questa serie speciale a chi insegna ai bambini. Come al solito, le "lezioni" di Elaine sono ricche di idee e di consigli pratici che riusciranno certamente a rendere più gradevole ai bambini l'insegnamento dell'inglese. Now who wouldn't like to be a prince or princess for a day, or even just for a lesson?

All a teacher has to do is make each of her students a crown! But not just any ordinary crown, oh no! This crown is special. Whoever wears it has to ask and answer questions.

First of all find some "gold" or "silver" paper. Cut out the crown (with nice little points) and fit one to each little head. Staple.

To emphasis the fact that the crown wearer has to ask or answer questions, draw a few question marks on it.

Now we're ready.

Start out by reviewing the question words, WHO, WHAT WHERE WHEN. Have them give you some questions and then write them on the blackboard for them to see. Then once this is done have the students work in pairs. One asks a question, and the other one answers, and then he in turn asks a question.

Of course, the teacher will have to be on hand to listen while they are "questioning"

Every now and then the teacher can ask a question too!

This is a fun activity and a good learning one too. Conversation is questions and answers and what a nice way to have them acquire this capacity.

Prince and princesses are sure to honor their crowns!
