Questions,
questions, questions...
britannico, americano, australiano, scozzese o indiano! Per operare la scelta
cliccare sul simbolo di ruota dentata quando il player è visibile.
What exactly is conversation? It’s questions and answers. Apart from teaching children vocabulary we must not forget that they need this vocabulary for putting together sentences and of course, asking questions. In my opinion it’s not too soon for these young children to have experience with asking questions. We can start out with the simple question, “Do you like….?”
The teacher can
prepare picture of the following:
The answer to the
question, “Do you like ice cream?” This repetitive question and answer period is very productive.
It’s good to add
the following pictures: Here is a good time to “discuss” the different fruits and vegetables for the children to recognize. Eventually this lesson can lead to , “Do you like to….?”
For probable
positive answers: They in turn can answer, “Yes, I like to sing.”
For probable
negative answers: They in turn can answer, “No, I don’t like to play alone.” Again before this lesson the teacher can talk to them and find out what the children like or not like to do. It’s up to the teacher to prepare pictures or photos that represent these “likes and dislikes”.
A Nice Thought
