Hey, what do you
put into the...?
britannico, americano, australiano, scozzese o indiano!
To
increase vocabulary words, it's a good idea to use practical
situations. Have available cards with photos (or drawings!) of various types of food, groceries, articles of clothing, etc. Write the name of each item on the card, while talking to the children. Start out
with "What do you put into a refrigerator?" Each child will have a photocopy of a refrigerator and underneath it, they will list the things to put into it. They may even want to draw a picture to illustrate the word. Do the
same for the groceries kept on a kitchen shelf. For the
clothes they put into the washing machine. For the
things they can cook in an oven. Each time
they are first introduced to the words and then they can write
them on their photocopy sheet.
A Nice Thought Cleaning your house while your kids are growing up is like shovelling the walk before it stops snowing!
