Dopo il blog di supporto a tutti gli insegnanti di inglese che lavorano con ragazzi della scuola media, la nostra Elaine si rivolge ora in questa serie speciale a chi insegna ai bambini. Come al solito, le "lezioni" di Elaine sono ricche di idee e di consigli pratici che riusciranno certamente a rendere più gradevole ai bambini l'insegnamento dell'inglese. Closet drawer student's desk blackboard calendar

Then with a group of children go around the room and label things, leaving the card in its proper place saying the word together Once done, go back with the children and take the cards away, after they have read each one aloud.

Give a set of cards to the students and let them "label"the things in the classroom by leaving the correct card next to each item.
Working in a small group aids the more timid students to participate.

While one group is working with the teacher, the children in the other group can be making a drawing of the classroom.
Of course, everyone will have a chance to be in the teacher's group.

Introduce the preposition ON
The teacher can demonstrate using objects and have the students repeat the sentences.
The book in ON the desk.
The pencil is ON the book.
The marker is ON the student's desk.
The calendar is ON the wall.

She can introduce the question word WHERE
WHERE is the book?
She will place the pencil on the desk and the children will answer
The pencil is ON the desk.
Use as many examples as possible.

Some students can also place objects on things around the room and ask questions using WHERE.
Activities where the students actively participate reinforce their memory skills.
