Google Browser Sync is a freeware beta product from Google which debuted in Google Labs on June 8, 2006 that allows users of the Firefox web browser to synchronize their settings across multiple computers via the Internet. It requires a Google Account, in which the user's cookies, saved passwords, bookmarks, history, tabs and open windows can be stored. The data is optionally encrypted using an alphanumerical PIN, which theoretically thwarts even Google from reading the data. Additionally, passwords and cookies are always encrypted.
Currently the extension only works with versions of Firefox 1.5 and newer.
