From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thatware is a free software content management system and blogging engine, written in PHP by David Kent Norman. It was formerly the engine driving the content of Hack in the Box. Active development of Thatware was between 1999 and 2001. It was initially intended to compete directly with Slashcode, Squishdot, and phpSlash. Thatware is also known as the engine that started PHP-Nuke. The domain Thatware was hosted on, thatware.org, was sold in January 2006.
The latest version of Thatware is vulnerable exploits including remote file includes, cross site scripting, and inadequate user session cookie protection. Because the project is officially inactive, there are no official patches to fix known vulnerabilities. Thatware was written before the introduction of PHP4's integrated session management.
