KMLE Medical Dictionary is a
web search engine, owned privately by a radiology doctor. It
offers an online medical dictionary search which expands over 10
different medical dictionaries and including the full American
Heritage medical dictionary. It also provides over 80,000 audio
pronunciations, medical abbreviations, journal, and drug search.
Services include a medical web link directory targeting doctors
and medical students.
Although an English version is available, the Korean version
is currently much more popular, especially in Asia, and was
mentioned several times in Korean newspapers.[1]
The Korean site was nominated by
Daum
as a finalist for Trust internet culture award in 2005.[2]
The site is also recommended in the introductory text of the
translated edition
[3] of The Language of
Medicine(7e), by Davi-Ellen Chabner.[4]
